Chianti Colli Fiorentini DOCG is the emblem of the estate, produced from Sangiovese, Canaiolo, Colorino, and Merlot grapes. The first harvest dates back to 1987 and, as it was then, it is still carried out today on the Scandicci hills at an altitude of about 180 meters, in vineyards with a south/southeast exposure, which allows for perfect grape ripening. It was awarded the gold medal at Mundus Vini 2020 and received 90 points from Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate.

Composition: Predominantly Sangiovese, in accordance with procedural guidelines, with the addition of complementary varietals such as Canaiolo, Merlot, and Colorino.
Soil: Silty clays formed during the alluvial phase of the Elsa River in the Upper Pliocene, about 3 million years ago. The clays produce fine and elegant wines, more suited for immediate consumption.
Training Method: In the vineyards, we use the spurred cordon technique, with some areas employing the Guyot method, and a density of approximately 5,000 plants per hectare.
Harvest Period: The grapes are hand-picked, usually starting around the 15th of September and finishing around the 15th of October.
Winemaking and Aging: Fermentation takes place in steel vats for about 12 days, followed by aging for 70% in cement and the remaining 30% in oak barrels.
Tasting Notes: Ruby red color with purple reflections. Fragrant, with fruity hints and floral nuances. Good softness combined with lively freshness and pleasant tannins.
Food Pairings: Chianti Colli Fiorentini DOCG pairs well with all dishes. It complements many appetizers, such as Tuscan crostini with pâté, salami, and cheese.
