This wine is made exclusively from Sangiovese grapes, harvested from a single 2-hectare vineyard. Our aim is to create a well-structured wine that maintains the typical fruity notes of Sangiovese. The particular terrain on which the vines are cultivated imparts a marvelous smoothness and surprising freshness to the grapes, and consequently, the wine.

Description

Composition: Produced with Sangiovese grapes in accordance with procedural guidelines.

Soil: Silty clays formed during the alluvial phase of the Elsa River in the Upper Pliocene, about 3 million years ago. These clays produce fine and elegant wines, best suited for immediate consumption.

Training Method: In the vineyards, we use the spurred cordon technique, with a density of approximately 5,000 plants per hectare.

Harvest Period: The grapes are hand-harvested, usually around the 25th of September.

Winemaking and Aging: Fermentation takes place in steel vats for about 15 days, followed by aging for 9 to 12 months in oak barrels.

Tasting Notes: Full, dense ruby red color. Intense and persistent aroma with floral and fruity hints, along with perceptions of spices. Warm, soft, and fruity taste with very pleasant tannins combined with an enjoyable acidic vein.

Food Pairings: This wine pairs well with all meat dishes. It is excellent with typical Florentine steak, grilled red meats, or stewed dishes such as Peposo.
